Pitched with ease first time without instructions

Pitched with ease first time without instructions, first night very comfortable

Very sturdy even without guying out

Very sturdy even without guying out. A reasonable weight for a four season one man tent. If I could change anything I would like a small vent added to the opposite end from the two at the back to help draw the air through as on the initial camp the tent had a lot of condensation inside also maybe a little tab that is reflective on the guy points. Overall I am happy and looking forward to a good few nights in the hills.

I am yet to use the quilt in a hiking situation but will report back once I have put it through its paces. I've just spent 3 nights using it mid summer in a campsite, hardly stressing it! However on an R7.3 mattress it was very comfortable and when too hot I simply pushed it away. I always use a silk liner to protect the sleeping bag or quilt so that was sufficient most of the time. I am very impressed by the loft; it feels almost weightless. It compresses well too. I'll be using it December onwards in New Zealand and although taking a good down sleeping bag as a precaution I expect the quilt will do well in their summer conditions.

Customs ruined my plans!

Ordered this after seeing a few reviews of the quilt and its weight, size and price caught my eye as I dislike claustrophobic sleeping bags.

The quilt has a nice feel, really lightweight and condensed into small pack size. My only concern is if it will be warm enough so will use with high rated sleeping mat and silk or thermal liner.

I think this will go down to 0 degrees after which cold sleepers would need extra layers or thermal liner above measures.

I ordered this a while back and due to a hold up in customs it took a few weeks to arrive which meant my plans to get out for some hiking and wild camping were thrown into disarray as I had wanted to hike the Great Glen Way. In the interim period my father sadly passed away too. So will try and get some shorter camps in instead just to clear my head and grieve in private.

Ben also gave me a cushion with the quilt to make up for the delay in receiving it. Thanks Ben.

Everything you need in a quilt

Super compact, the loft is brilliant and you don’t even realise it’s in your bag whilst being lightweight. Bargain price for what you get with all the features and loft bag and the customer service is fantastic.

Definitely will be a returning customer for sure.

Always worth a shot

10/10

Brilliant tent strong study and won’t let you

Fair weather camping

The Duo is a nice place to spend the night and I particularly like the flexibility of which/all tent flaps to open to get the best views/wind protection, a really good feature. Also a good tent bag. They claim the Duo has had 9 months UK development but Otimos have created a design better for Europe or the USA.The design is like many other similar tents available, such as the MSR Hubba, and shares their good and bad points. Good: spacious without a weight penalty, good sized porches. Bad: 100% mesh inner when camping in mist or rain the mesh means a damp feel in the tent at best, sometimes the wind (ventilation) drives the moisture through the mesh, and its rather cold. I think it would be a lot better tent if it had a solid inner. Still, that said, its a good tent for fair weather camping.

Very warm and light

Very warm and light. Just the job for my cold feet !!

Perfect

Perfect

Quality product

Delivered very quickly. Very good quality - packs down to a vey small size when used with 5l compression sack. Similar to a katadyn befree 1 litre water filter but a little bit thicker. Fitted my Big Agnes Rapide SL wide water ad very well. I was warm through out the night but it was only used in mild summer conditions.

eater Carrier

Yep it’s perfect for what I need

Great lightweight chair

I've been looking for a lightweight camping chair and couldn't believe the prices for anything sub 1kg from the likes of Helios and Big Agnes etc. I've purchased a few Otimos products in the last year and been very impressed with the quality and price and this chair doesn't disappoint. I love the additional option to get the balls to attach for using it on soft ground or the beach. Yes it's a couple of hundred grams heavier than the lightest ones on the market but a third of the price which is great. Thanks Ben and the team, keep up the work 🙏

An absolute bargain!

Ive been using the X Lite Nomad Solo for a good few nights now. First couple of camps had zero wind so I wasnt able to really test the tents capability, however in terms of usability, the quality, ease of pitching, the features etc, its a great tent, and for the money, its even better! What an absolute bargain! Everything is well made, taped seams etc, the inner feels a nice place to be inside and is very quiet. The tent for only being 1.8kg is solid! Holds its own really well, and the 8.5mm poles are great! With the addition of Storm Floris traveling across the UK, I had to take this out for a real test. I took this out to the Lake District and pitched along Crinkle Crags at a height of 815m, I set up the tent in 40 mph winds (measured) and recorded a gust of 53mph while pitching. I also pitched exposed to the wind on purpose to see what y the tent could really handle. Once pitched the constant winds were floating around the 45/50mph mark with a max gust of 61.9mph recorded. The tent was handling this with easy, a little flexing but this is normal especially at these speeds. The front crossing pole really helps against the head on winds. Winds all night calmed a little to 30/40mph but inside the tent you wouldnt even know it was blowing so strong due to the tightness of the fabric and how quiet the inner is. For such a low pack weight, this tent for this price is exceptional and I was seriously blown away at times. With all this I did have a back up plan if anything failed, I did go somewhere I was very familiar with and I did do this to simply test the tent. I normally go out in these conditions and camp on the summits of the Lake District alot. For future trips Ide be more than happy taking the X Lite with me as my chosen shelter. 5*

This chair does exactly what it says on the tin

This chair does exactly what it says on the tin. Light weight but built with quality. Extremely comfortable. I also have the UL700 down quilt and going to purchase the 4 seaon tent soon.

Otimos customer care is
excellent and I'm so glad to be able to buy from a UK based company. Keep up the good work Otimos. Deryn aka @hairlesshiker88

Loved it

Loved it, when it was delivered could not believe how small and lightweight the quilt was. took it out of the packaging and looked wafer thin. Literally 4 mins and also tripled in size. Have taken it out in combo with the air bed. Strap system worked great, left the footwell zipped but was overheating through the night so opened it right up withease. Easy to put away, comes with a compact bag which reduces the size by over half

UL80

So I've been waiting until I used this for a decent amount of time before I left a review and unfortunately it didn't arrive in time for my first trip I missed it by a few hours. I recently did the coast to coast using this now normally I feel the cold at night even in summer and have had a nightmare trying to find the right thing to keep me warm now the first few days of my trip I was too warm this thing lofts up so much it's like being hugged from warm fluffy cloud a couple of nights normally I would be cold in something so light I may have had to put a jumper on to drift off but woke up sweltering so to the normal folk that can sleep in the winter with very little this thing should take you a long way. The fabric is comfy though at first I thought maybe a bit too thin but had no issues in the time I was using it and got quite a beating did get a little damp at times if I had to put the tent down wet then throw it up in the rain and chuck the quilt in but dried supper quick and lofted straight back up always carry some hot hands just in case to dry off the sleeping bag but didn't need them. I'm even tempted by the other quilt for warm nights as this is maybe a bit over kill when it's hot but for a longer trip I'd always take this just in case. now for the nitpick's I'm pretty tiny so for me it's huge a tiny person version would be good as it's way longer than my short person mat and a bit frustrating I'm caring around so much spare fabric I simply don't need another very minor point is to me it smells a bit gamey but overall this thing is light keeps me warm is supper comfy so I'm happy with the purchase thanks team

NOMAD X Lite Solo

So far very pleased with NOMAD , good quality fabrics etc

Nicely designed quilt with a decent pack size

Nicely designed quilt with a decent pack size. The temperature dropped to around 7 degrees and the quilt performed well with my Thermarest mat. I can't comment on the actual temperature limit advertised but has worked great on my first use.

Cracking pillow with a nice design

Cracking pillow with a nice design. I usually take my Exped pillow but this one by far exceeds comfort. Pack size is a little more but worth it for the extra comfort.

Great little tent.

Great little tent for the price. Used in a steady wind and stood up well with no condensation in the morning. If I'm honest I don't think this is a true 4 season tent for the harshest of conditions when compared to the Kuiu Storm Star etc. I would put this tent in the 3 season category but without testing I may be wrong. The tent is very well thought out with the door clasp, gear storage in the porch & drying line. I have heard reviews with people saying if you're over 6 foot you will struggle, I can confirm this is not the case as I'm 6"5 and slept comfortable. The only real thing I would like to see change on this tent is a double zipper on the fly sheet, the inner door to be about 6 inches larger in width just to allow a little more movement & bigger pockets with a gear loft on the roof. Other than that a great effort and would recommend giving it a try.

brought this to use on my bike camps

I have brought this to use on my bike camps.Good quality quilt with plenty of options for adding on cooler nights. Packs down really small and is light too.

Best around for the price

I have used this sleeping quilt in numerous places such as the Lake district & the peak district in all types of conditions.

Overall, i have no faults with this item. does exactly as described, great value for money being the cheapest quilt on the markewt too.

Amazing!

For the price you pay you really could use all year round

For the price you pay you really could use this all year round. It’s a good weight that clearly puts it in the lightweight category and it’s very sturdy when pegged and guided out properly. I have had it up in harsh winds up in Snowdonia and it didn’t even flinch. Would definitely recommend. I would hope in the next batches to see a double zip, larger pockets and full Velcro along the vents but apart from that a cracking tent
